BUCKEYE CANDIES | |
3 lbs. confectioners sugar 1 lb. butter 2 lbs. peanut butter 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 c. paraffin or parawax Mix well and form into small balls; set aside on waxed paper. Melt 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips in double boiler. Melt 1/2 cup of paraffin and mix with melted chocolate. With toothpick, dip peanut butter balls into chocolate mixture (being careful not to cover peanut butter balls completely). They should look like a "Buckeye Nut". Cool on waxed paper. The hole made by toothpick can be eliminated by pinching together with fingers. Recipe makes approximately 100 balls. |
