Cream:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) butter

Combine:

2 eggs
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Add alternately with above:

3 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt

Drop by spoonfuls and press down. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes.
