SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, room temp.
1 c. sour cream or 1 c. low fat yogurt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
4 tbsp. cinnamon sugar (3 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. cinnamon)

Cream butter and sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Fold in flour sifted with baking powder and salt. Place batter in 9" tube pan by thirds, sprinkling with 1/3 pecans and cinnamon sugar each time. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.

I added the sour cream and vanilla after the eggs, before the flour. The recipe doesn't say when to do this.
