1 egg
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 1/2 c. plain flour

Cream together the egg, sugar and butter. Add the soda, vanilla and lemon flavoring; stir in the flour. Roll out on a floured board and cut. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake between 325 and 375 degrees for 9 to 12 minutes. Makes about 2 1/2 dozen. I always double the recipe because it only makes about 2 1/2 dozen.
