GRANDMOTHER'S SNICKERDOODLES | |
ix thoroughly: 1 c. soft shortening (part butter) 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs ift together and stir in sugar mixture the following: 2 3/4 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt Roll into balls the size of a small walnut. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven until light brown but soft, about 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen. |
