CHUNKY GRANOLA | |
6 c. quick or regular rolled oats 1/2 c. wheat germ 1/2 c. powdered milk 2/3 c. oil 1/2 c. coconut 1/2 c. raw sunflower seeds, walnuts or almonds 2/3 c. honey 1 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place in ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan; rolled oats and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and stir in: sunflower seeds or nuts, coconut, wheat germ and powdered milk. Add to this dry mixture the following: (mixing together first) honey, oil and the vanilla. Stir until thoroughly coated; bake 10-15 minutes, stirring every 3-5 minutes until uniformly golden. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Let cool in pan undistributed; then break into chunks. Optional: chopped raisins, dates or dried fruits may be added. |
