PLAIN CHOP SUEY 
1 lb. hamburger or steak or pork
3 c. sliced onions
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 c. celery
1 lb. can bean sprouts
Chinese noodles

Fry meat until tender. Add onions and cook until soft. Mix soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch. Add to meat and onions. Add celery. Cook until tender. Add bean sprouts, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer about 20 minutes. Serve over Chinese noodles. If too dry, add 1/2 cup broth or water with celery.
