GRANDMA'S CHOP SUEY
3 tbsp. chop suey sauce
1 tbsp. bead molasses
2 c. diced meat (1 c. beef, 1 c. pork)
1 c. sliced onion
1 c. shredded celery
1 can bean sprouts or assorted vegetables

Fry meat in lard until almost done. Add vegetables except bean sprouts. Add a little water or meat stock, a pinch of pepper, a tablespoon of sugar and chop suey sauce to taste. Cook under cover 15 minutes. Mix a little flour with a tablespoon of bead molasses separately in 1/2 cup water. Add bean sprouts and bead molasses mixture to above ingredients and bring to boiling point. Serve over rice or noodles, we like it over chow mein noodles.
