4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter

Mix like pie crumbs. Take 1 cup out for top of cake.

JUICE:

1 c. (1/2 c. eating and 1/2 c. baking) molasses
2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. baking soda

Blend and put in pans. Put crumbs on top. Bake 350 degrees, 35-40 minutes.
