SPICED RAISIN PIE 
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. raisins
1 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. lemon juice (fresh or frozen)

Mix sugar, cornstarch, spices, water and raisins in saucepan. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in butter and lemon juice. Pour into 9 inch pie pan lined with crust. Adjust top crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Then bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
