BANKET 
Dough:

1 lb. butter
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cold water

Filling:

1 lb. almond paste
2 c. sugar
3 eggs

Mix dough and filling and chill in round bowls so you can divide it into 8 equal pie wedges.

Roll out dough into hot dog shape, about 3 to 4-inches wide, not as thin as pie dough. Put in almond filling and roll and seal. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle on sugar.

Bake (fresh) at 400°F for 15 minutes; or bake (frozen) at 450°F for 20 minutes.

Yield: 8 sticks.
