BRAZIL SENSATION CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. pitted dates (whole)
3 c. Brazil nuts (whole)
1 c. maraschino cherries (well drained)
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Mix together dates, nuts and cherries and add to the dry mixture and coat well. Beat eggs until foamy and add vanilla. Stir all ingredients together until all flour is moistened. Bake 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
