MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH EGG NOG POUND
CAKE
 
2 sticks real butter
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
5 lg. eggs
3 c. white, granulated sugar
1 sm. can evaporated milk
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. each vanilla, coconut, almond, lemon, butternut and rum flavorings

Cream butter and shortening with sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Combine with other ingredients and mix well. Bake at 275 degrees in a greased Bundt or tube pan for 1 hour 45 minutes. Good while hot or may be frosted as follows.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. all 6 flavorings used in cake

Mix all ingredients and pour over cake while it is still warm. This is an extra moist cake.
