COLONIAL POPPY SEED CAKE BREAD 
2 oz. poppy seeds
3/4 c. milk
3/4 c. soft butter
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour

Soak poppy seed and 3/4 cup milk for 3 to 4 hours. Blend butter and eggs. Add rest of ingredients including poppy seed. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. HINT: Cook in loaf pan.
