CHICKEN ARGENTINE 
1 broiler or fryer chicken, cut up (about 3 lbs.)
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water

In a frying pan brown chicken in oil. Ten minutes for each side. Mix salt, thyme, garlic, and pepper in a cup. Sprinkle over chicken. Add water. Cover pan. Simmer for 40 minutes or until tender.
