PUDDING SAUCE 
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter

Mix flour and sugar. Add boiling water gradually; boil on low heat for 7 minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. This is very good on plain cake or uniced cupcakes.

For a Chocolate Sauce add 3 tbsp. cocoa to flour mixture.

For a Spice Cake add 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg.

For Caramel Sauce use 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup white sugar.

This sauce can be used hot or cold. If it gets too thick when cold add hot water until it is the thickness you desire.
