SELF-FILLED CUPCAKES 
1 (1 lb. 2 1/2 oz.) pkg. chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Fill paper baking cups 2/3 full. Beat cream cheese with sugar until well blended, then beat in eggs and salt. Stir in chocolate pieces. Drop 1 round teaspoon of cheese mixture into each cupcake. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
