SANDWICH SPREAD 
12 green tomatoes
8 lg. green sweet peppers
12 red sweet peppers
2-5 lg. onions
1 hot pepper
1 pt. carrots
1 pt. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. (heaping) celery seed
3 c. white sugar
2/3 c. flour
1 qt. salad dressing
1 jar prepared mustard

Grind first 6 ingredients. Cover with boiling water and let stand 1 hour. Stir well and cook 10 minutes. Add last 3 ingredients (make the flour like gravy thickening) and stir all ingredients together well. Cook 5 minutes more. Pour in canning jars and seal while hot.
