CHEESE STRAWS 
1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 lb. butter
2 c. flour
1/2-1 tsp. red pepper
1/8 tsp. salt

Grate cheese. Melt butter. Mix salt and pepper in flour. Mix well and form in small balls and flatten out very thin. Bake at 300 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. Be careful not to bake too much. 1/2 of this amount makes a lot.
