MARY LOU WEBB'S CHEESE STRAWS 
1 lb. sharp cheese, grated
3/4 c. Wesson oil
4 c. all-purpose flour, sift before measuring
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Sprinkle of cayenne pepper

Let cheese get room temperature then cream with Wesson oil. Add 1/2 flour, salt, soda and pepper. Mix well, then add remaining flour and finish mixing. Bake at 275 degrees about 1 hour.
