CREAMY SUGAR PRALINES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tbsp. honey
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. toasted pecans
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Toast pecans for 3 minutes at 300 degrees in oven. Mix the first 8 ingredients in large saucepan (stirring regularly). Bring to boil. Boil until test in cold water gives a firm ball. You can also use a 236 degree candy thermometer to tell when it's done. Add pecans and stir. Add vanilla and stir until milky color appears. Drop individual pralines on waxed paper. Yields: 48.
