SPICY PUMPKIN LOAF 
3 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. pumpkin, canned or cooked
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of cloves
2-3 tbsp. water

Cream butter gradually add 2 cups sugar; blend 4 eggs in and beat well.

At low speed add dry ingredients alternately with 1 1/2 cup canned or cooked pumpkin, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

Stir in chocolate chips and 1 cup nuts. Turn into 2 greased 9 x 3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool, then drizzle with delicious spice glaze. Slice better after or day.

Spice Glaze: Combine dry ingredients; add 2-3 tablespoons water until consistency of glaze. Drizzle over loaves.
