APPLE SAUCE CAKE 
2/3 c. butter (oleo)
2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
3/4 c. cold thick, unsweetened apple sauce
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 egg whites
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts

Cream the butter; add sugar. Beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and apple sauce. Beat until smooth. Sift the self-rising flour, baking powder and spices together. Blend with first 4 ingredients. Add egg whites; mix. Add raisins and nuts; mixing well. Place in Bundt pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until straw or wooden toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
