AUNT B'S ORIGINAL BISCUITS | |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/3 tbsp. baking powder 1/4 cup shortening (Crisco) 2 tsp. sugar 1 cup milk 1 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. minced garlic Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and garlic in mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry cutter. Gradually add milk (you may need to use less or more). Fold about 5 to 7 times, cut at 3/4 to 1-inch thick. Bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes; tops should be light golden brown. Remove immediately, serve fresh from the oven. Submitted by: Aubrey Main |
