FRUIT SWIRL COFFEE CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1 tsp. almond flavoring 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1 (21 oz.) can pie filling (apple, cherry, blueberry or apricot) POWDERED SUGAR GLAZE: 1 c. powdered sugar 1-2 tbsp. milk Beat sugar, butter, shortening, baking powder, flavorings and eggs until blended. Stir in flour. Spread 1/2 of the batter in a greased pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch). Spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by spoonfuls onto pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes. Drizzle with glaze while still warm. Cut into bars. |
