ORANGE MARMALADE BREAD | |
2 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sugar 2 tbsp. shortening, melted 1 egg, beaten 1/2 c. thick orange marmalade 1/4 c. white vinegar 1 c. sweet milk Sift flour, baking soda, salt and sugar together. Combine egg thoroughly with marmalade, then stir in vinegar, milk and shortening. Pour liquid ingredients all at once into dry ingredients and stir until blended, but not smooth. Pour into greased 9"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees in moderate oven for 1 hour. |
