SOUR CREAM ORANGE MARMALADE BREAD | |
1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. lemon extract 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. grated orange peel 1 c. orange marmalade 1 c. sour cream 1/2 - 1 c. walnuts, optional Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and lemon extract. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients. Combine marmalade and sour cream. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with the sour cream mixture. Stir in nuts. Divide into 2 or 3 loaf pans. Bake 50-55 minutes at 350 degrees or until toothpick comes out clean. |
