PICKLED WIENERS 
4 (1 lb.) pkgs. wieners
2 lg. onions, thinly sliced
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 c. ground cumin
4 1/2 oz. bottle pepper sauce
4 c. white vinegar
1 tsp. pickling spice

Slice each wiener into 3 pieces. Combine with onion and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in pan. Bring this mixture to a boil and boil about 3 minutes. Pour over wieners and onions. Put in jars and cover tightly. Refrigerate for several days before you serve them to let spices and pickling syrup penetrate. This makes a nice big batch and will keep several months in your refrigerator.
