CHOCOLATE EGGLESS CAKE 
1/2 c. solid shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. cake flour (or 1 3/4 c. all-purpose)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. cocoa

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream shortening and sugar in large bowl. Sour the milk with the vinegar. Add soda to soured milk. Add flour and milk to creamed mixture alternately starting and ending with flour. Mix in vanilla and cocoa.

Pour into prepared cake pans: 2 square or round layers or 1 (13x9 inch) pan. Bake 30-45 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean.
