BARBECUED BEEF BRISKET | |
6 to 7 lb. brisket 1 chopped yellow onion 1 1/2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tsp. celery seed 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 c. water 2 tbsp. liquid smoke 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 c. ketchup 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp. butter 1 bottle Masterpiece Original BBQ Sauce Rub brisket with liquid smoke. Place in cooking bag for oven. Pour all ingredients, except the barbecue sauce over brisket. Bake at 325 degrees for 5 hours, then cool. Remove from bag and shred meat in food processor or with fork. Pour liquid from the bag into pan and cook until reduced to 1/2. Pour reduced liquid over beef and add enough Masterpiece to thoroughly moisten. Serve hot on buns with dill pickles. Meat may be frozen for later use. |
