CRANBERRY COFFEE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 (16 oz.) can whole berry cranberry sauce

GLAZE:

3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 tbsp. water

Cream together butter, sugar, and unbeaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Add combined and sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternating with the sour cream and ending with flour mix. Add vanilla. Grease and flour 9 inch tube pan. Pour 1/2 batter into pan. Top this with 1/2 cranberry sauce. Add remaining batter and top with remaining cranberry sauce and walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until done. Remove from pan after cooling and top with Glaze.
