4 med. onions, sliced
3 tbsp. butter
5-6 lg. tomatoes, thickly sliced
1 1/2 c. grated cheese (Jack or Cheddar)
1 c. bread crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. sour cream

Saute onions in butter for 5 minutes. Grease a 2 quart casserole and arrange a layer of tomatoes on bottom. Sprinkle with some cheese, then bread crumbs, then onions. Repeat layers ending with cheese.

Beat together eggs and sour cream until smooth. Pour over casserole. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer until puffed and brown.
