3 lemons 3 c. sugar 1 1/2 qt. water 7 tea bags Makes 5 quarts. Heat water in small saucepan until boiling. While water is on stove measure sugar in a large enough pot to hold 5 quarts, then squeeze lemons. Add the juice to the sugar, cut the lemons in half again. Throw the peels in with the sugar also. The only thing not used from the lemons is the seeds. Add the tea bags to the boiling water and let steep. Mix the sugar and lemon so that the mixture is all wet. Put the tea in with the sugar. Mix until sugar is dissolved then add 3 quart cold water. |
