LEMON SQUARES 
1 c. flour
1 stick butter
1/4 c. confectioners sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Blend together first 3 ingredients and press into 8x8x2 inch pan.

Bake 20 minutes at 350°F.

Beat together remaining ingredients and pour over baked crust.

Bake 20 minutes at 350°F. Caution: DO NOT OVERCOOK! Top should appear to be golden brown when done. Remove from oven and immediately go around edges with sharp knife which you have dipped in water and cut into squares and remove from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
