MOCHA MIDNIGHT CAKE 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 2/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. cocoa
3 eggs
1 1/3 c. cold coffee
2/3 c. butter or shortening
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients, add shortening, eggs, coffee and vanilla; beat well. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost with boiled frosting.

BOILED FROSTING:

2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter

Boil to soft ball stage, about 5 minutes. Cool, stir until it thickens. Spread on cake.
