HOMEMADE FUDGE 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. condensed milk
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
Nuts if desired
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Cut chocolate into small pieces and cook with the brown sugar, regular sugar, milk and syrup. Stir until the sugars are dissolved. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the fudge will form a soft ball when dropped into cold water. Remove from the heat and add the butter and vanilla, stirring gently until mixed. Let stand to cool. Then stir until the fudge begins to lose the glossy coat. Add the nuts, and pour into a well greased cake pan and allow to cool. Cut into squares when firm.
