HOMEMADE FUDGE 
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. white sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tbsp. corn syrup
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. half and half
1 c. walnuts, chopped
4 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat mixture with electric beater, over heat until it comes to a boil. Then let cool on low heat for about an hour. (Should boil slowly until it reaches 332 degrees on candy thermometer.) Remove from heat, let cool, add butter, vanilla and beat. Add nuts last. Then spread in buttered pan and cool, cut and eat.
