VEGETABLE MARINADE 
4 stalks fresh broccoli, chopped
9 lg. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 medium green pepper, chopped
3 ribs of celery, chopped
1 sm. head cauliflower, chopped
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1 1/2 c. oil
1 sm. onion, grated
2 tbsp. poppy seeds or celery seeds

Combine first five ingredients in a large container with a tight lid. Combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour marinade over vegetables and toss. Cover. Chill at least 3 hours. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
