NEVER FAIL DUMPLINGS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. water
Chicken broth
2 hard cooked eggs, chopped

Combine flour, beaten egg, shortening, salt, and pepper and water. Divide into three parts. Roll out very thin, let dough dry for 20 minutes. Cut in strips, drop into broth. Cook until tender, add hard cooked eggs.
