GERMAN COOKIES 
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped nuts
1 lb. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of salt
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. water

Beat eggs and sugar together until creamy. Sift flour, measure, then sift again with spices into egg mixture. Add nuts. Mix well.

Spread on greased 12 x 18 inch rimmed cookie pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Immediately spread powdered sugar/water glaze over top. Cool. Cut into 2 x 3 inch strips.
