MICROWAVE POTATOES 
2 lg. potatoes
2 tbsp. butter
Salt & pepper
1/2 onion, sliced thinly
Garlic salt

Peel and slice potatoes. Arrange in layers in microwave safe rectangle dish. Season with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Top with butter. Add 6 tablespoons of water. Cover with wax paper. Cook on high for 20 minutes, turning halfway. May be covered with foil and put in oven at 250 degrees to keep warm and continue cooking.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
