PORK CHOPS AND RICE 
4 pork chops (fat trimmed off)
Onion
Green pepper
4 tbsp. oil (for skillet)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 c. uncooked rice
1 c. water
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Saute onion and pepper until tender and brown meat on both sides. Cover bottom of baking dish or pan with rice. Place chops, onions and peppers on top. Add water, sugar and seasonings to drippings and stir well.

Add tomato sauce and stir well. Pour over pork chops and rice and bake, uncovered, until rice is done, about 1 hour. 4 servings. Serve with green beans or vegetables.
