ANGEL BISCUITS 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. buttermilk, sour milk or sweet milk with 1 tbsp. vinegar added

Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside. Mix dry ingredients in order given; cut in shortening. Stir yeast water into buttermilk (at room temperature). Blend and place on floured board. Knead lightly. Cut with biscuit cutter and place on greased cookie sheet. Rise slightly and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until light brown.
