FRUIT PIZZA | |
To make the crust for the pizza take one roll of sugar cookie dough (like Pillsbury) that you purchase from your grocer's dairy case and let it set for an hour or so at room temperature. Then press or roll into a pizza pan and bake as directed. Cool completely. Form the pizza base by combining the following and spreading over the cooled crust: 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Two to 4 hours before serving sprinkle a large can of drained, crushed pineapple (in own juice) onto the base. Decorate the top of the pizza to taste with your own selection of the following fruits: 1 pt. fresh strawberries 2-3 med. to lg. bananas Chopped pecans Maraschino cherries Mandarin oranges Kiwi Blueberries Top the fruit with apricot jam that has been diluted slightly with water and warmed so that it will pour easily. |
