AMERICAN LASAGNA 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/3 c. water
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
2 (6 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese

Brown meat. Add onion. Cook until tender. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, water, garlic and seasonings. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. In an 8 x 12 inch baking dish layer cooked noodles, meat sauce and cheese. Repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
