AMERICAN LASAGNA | |
6 oz. noodles 3/4 lb. ground beef 1 can (3 1/2 c.) tomato soup 4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature 8 oz. cottage cheese 1/4 c. sour cream 1 bunch green onions, chopped 1 sm. green pepper, chopped Cook noodles until tender. Rinse in cold water and set aside. Saute meat until lightly browned. Skim off excess fat. Add tomato soup to ground meat and simmer, stirring frequently until meat is tender. With spoon or mixer, work cream cheese until smooth. Add cottage cheese and sour cream. Fold onion and green pepper gently into mixture. Place layer of noodles in greased baking dish. Top with layer of cream cheese mixture, then layer of meat mixture. Repeat layers. Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove cover last 15 minutes to brown slightly. Serves 6. |
