CZECHOSLOVAKIAN COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/2 c. flour
1 jar apricot preserves

Cream butter, sugar, and egg yolks until smooth and creamy. Add flour and nuts. Lightly grease the bottom of an 8 x 10 inch dish. Spread 1/2 of batter in the bottom of pan. Spread apricot preserves on top of batter. Then add remaining batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cool in the pan. Cut into squares; remove with spatula.

Top layer may be a little hard to handle but worth the effort.
