SOUTHERN STYLE CORN BREAD 
1 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. corn meal
2 eggs
1 c. milk

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Put 8 inch cast iron skillet with a tablespoon of shortening into oven to get hot. Mix together dry ingredients. Add milk and eggs. Beat until just smooth about one minute. Pour into hot greased skillet return to oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
