SOUTHERN PLANTATION CORN BREAD 
1 c. butter (divided)
4 tbsp. flour
1 pt. half and half
4 slices American or Cheddar cheese
8 oz. whipping cream
1 beaten egg
8 oz. sour cream
2 boxes corn muffin mix
6 oz. diced taylor muffin

Melt 1/2 cup butter. Add flour and half and half. Cook until slightly thickened. Crumble in cheese and blend; let cool. Add whipping cream, sour cream, and egg. Blend well after each addition. Add remaining 1/2 cup melted butter.

Fold in corn muffin mix and ham. Spread in 13x9 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until set. Bread will be moist. This can also be baked in 2 (9x9) pans.
