HONEY NUT CRESCENTS
2/3 c. unsalted butter, softened
1 c. white sugar
3 eggs
2 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. caramel flavor
3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans, finely ground
1 c. raisins, chopped
1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. butter, melted
Powdered sugar

In large mixer bowl cream first five ingredients. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt until thoroughly combined; will form a soft dough. Divide dough into 3 balls; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 2 hours.

Combine pecans, raisins, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Remove 1 ball at a time; roll on lightly floured surface to 12 inch circle. Brush generously with melted butter. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the cinnamon mixture; press into dough. Cut into 16 wedges with pizza cutter or sharp knife.

Arrange point down on baking sheet, curving ends to form crescent. Repeat with remaining dough. Bake until lightly golden, 15 to 18 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool; sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar. Makes 4 dozen.
